I was feeling very summery today. I live in Northern Cali kind of near the fires, actually pretty near. The last week or so it has been super hazy and smoky everyday and finally this morning when I woke up I could see the blue skies again! It made me want to wear colorful clothes and I think I overloaded.

I started with the Gitana ( I was told this means Gypsy) skirt from of Sevenstar Amat of Stitch by Stitch. She said that this is a dress she based on one she purchased recently from a flea market. She has a very good eye for unique fabrics/designs/colors and I really like her dresses. The dress comes with a cute tank top with bows on the shoulders, also the pants under the dress can be worn with the top to make a vintage swimsuit. I had a hard time deciding what sort of top to wear with it, but then I saw the 6 belt only jacket from the Calangute dress from Zaara Indian Couture. Zaara is another designer that has a very unique use of colors/patterns. I also picked up the Suvarna Anklets when I was in the store from her Wedding Jewelry set. I decided these looked great without shoes and I took a close up picture of the detailing the whole set is very beauitful. Once I decided on the belts I put on the Trixie Dot Halter in Lemonade from Celestial Studios and put the Harlow Cropped Vest in Purple from Second Wave Apparel. I love how all the colors look with each other it makes me very happy.

Of course I needed some big great bangles so I have on the Red Bangles from +plus they are so shiny! On my right arm are more of the super cheap really great and glossy bangles from Aphrodite Creations. My necklace is the Gypsy Necklace from Earthtones and the Lovely Pierced earrings from chicoco. These earrings just happened to have all the colors that I’m wearing!

I have on the Lysa II hair from Philotic Energy with and without the hair sticks. This is a great updo and the hair sticks have a gemstone changing script which make them wonderful with any outfit dressy or super casual. This makeup I have on is the Spring Equinox Vogue Skin and I think the light purple eyeshadow looks really nice and neutral with all the other colors I have on.

Hopefully these darn fires will go away soon here.

Today I felt it was time to wear my Launa Jeans again, the jeans from LF are still my very favorite. Here I’m wearing the Rust Trusty Jeans which are a nice color that is almost brown but not quite. I decided to pair them with the top from the Plaid Poppet dress from Sn@tch. I love these dresses with their plunging backs, but the top didn’t have a finished hem on the bottom like a lot of dress. In order to fix this I put on the Underpants layer from my Lala Belted Tunic top from Lala FooFoo. I also added the Studded O Ring Belt in Tan from Fleur. These new belts are great and I am slowly going to acquire all of them!!

My shoes are the Brown Triple Buckle shoes from Digital Dragon Designs. These are probably my favorite wedges. They have such pretty straps and a super high skinny wedge. I was turned onto Whimsical Creations a few months ago and they really do live up to their name. This Caught in Amber Necklace has a pretty flower on it and then drops down on the back. I have seen Necklaces that are on backwards to hang down your back but I’m not sure I’ve seen another necklace that still has a front but then also drops down in the back as well. I really like the look so I’m gonna be looking for more of them. On my right arm I have on the Natural Gold Wooden Bangle and Onyx Bauble Ring and Cuff from Caroline’s Jewelry. 

Achairya sent me to Boon he other day. I had never been and I was very surprised by some of the original styles. I got this short hair and I love how it looks its very sleek, but has a few misplaced hairs that make it feel more real. I put on the Excess Overdose Vogue skin from Celestial Studios to complete the outfit.

A few days ago I decided it was time for a change and went skin shopping. Little did I know how drastically my whole look would change. I tried on hundreds (wow the skin market has exploded recently!) of demos and finally decided on the Venus skin by Redgrave. Not very many skins look good on my avatar, but as soon as I put this one on I knew it was the one I would buy.  

Picking hair was easy as I had just bought this cute spiky style from Mirai Style called Riha. Together with the new skin it screams attitude.  

Moving on to the outfit I wanted something fun, summery and sexy. I had seen the racerback tanks by MichaMi on her blog and thought that was a great place to start. I bought the white tank and after putting the whole outfit together decided to tint it an aqua color. Next came the Dead Naga Mini skirt from Kyoot Army and the pyramid stud belt from Artilleri. 

Boots or heels? Heels or boots? After trying on everything in my inventory I decided to go to a few new stores to see what was new. First store I tped to was J’s. Lucky for me they had exactly what I wanted in the Loosefit Black boots! I love sculpted boots! 

For more color I added Stripy knee socks from Shiny Things. These socks are so fun and come in lots of different color combinations.  

After buying the boots and adding socks I wandered out of J’s store and saw a small open air store across the walkway called Cherry Bomb. Inside were boots, belts, hats, goggles and jewelry! I noticed a white claw necklace right away and in 2 clicks it was added to my outfit. Under the necklaces were some free Bone bracelets. The black one would go with my outfit as well. *click* *click* :D 

I thought I was done, but with so much skin showing the outfit felt unfinished. A shrug looked cute, but hid the racerback. Maybe a small tattoo? After asking a tatted friend where the best ones were I ended up at EtchD and found a cute garter tattoo and some small stars for my hands. I really wanted a 1 arm sleeve tattoo but apparently due to the SL shirt/jacket template only having 1 arm (that’s mirrored for the other side) that’s not possible. I learned something while shopping!

Ok I’m back to blonde for today. I mean for some reason when I wear pink I just have to wear my blonde hair. Especially the Annie May III hair from Celestial Studios. This hair is not new but it’s one of my favorites. I love the little buns.

I started the outfit off with the Looser Sugar shirt in Peach from Honey Kitty. This outfit is super duper adorable. The babydoll top comes with a variety of bow types and a little skirt. It was very easy to fit which is always a plus and the shirt and skirt can be easily separated to go into many many outfits. I wanted to wear something under the babydoll even though it’s cute on its own I just feel a little more comfortable not showing off my tummy most of the time. I chose the Naive top in Aqua because of the great color and I love the back. I think the little buttons up the back look really nice. These come on like a zillion layer options like all of the new Pixeldoll stuff so they are worth buying in every color.

I had to remember (Thank goodness for Fashion Emergency!)where I saw these leggings the other day, I was slow to join the leggings bandwagon but there are so many wonderful options lately they keep sneaking into my outfits. These are from Aoharu and come in a big pack for only 180L! They also have bows and well the more bows I can tack onto any outfit the better.

When I’m wearing pink and bows I always want to wear my Hethr necklace from Violet Voltaire. I picked out the free Starlust Picnicsets Earrings and the Pink Heart Bracelet from UnTone. The earrings are really cute one is a picnic basket and one is a picnic hat. On my left arm is the Muted Pastile Hearts bangles from Fresh Baked Goods this bracelet has a neat script that just lets you click it to get different random color patterns.

I should have taken a closer picture of the T-Strap Sandal with roses from G Field. You’ll just have to take my word for it that the detailing is wonderful on these and you should pick up a pair. They are perfect summer sandals. I went back to my chai skins today because the Cerise makeup is so pretty and pink. I look super innocent, but I’m sure you all know better.

Well thanks to Achariya (and Violet) for the prodding I have finally put together a new outfit. No, you aren’t seeing things I am wearing dark hair above. Ach was talking on her blog about a hard time she’s been having in rl and it’s been helping her to go blonde on her blog in place of her usual black hair. I thought since I have been in a sort of blogging funk lately I would steal her idea and try it out. I am actually pleased with how it came out and I must have been chanelling her because I found myself reaching towards the orangey things in my inventory.

I started with the skirt from the Bree dress in sunshine from Celestial Studios. I think this skirt is absolutely adorable and thanks to the belt attached to the prim part it’s very wearable on its own. I decided to go bare midriff maybe just cause I usually wouldn’t. This orange shrug is from Coquette and she has them in lots of colors, I’m not sure why but when I bought it months ago I was drawn to this happy orange shade. I’m glad I was because it look really nice with the yellow crop top I had from Mistress Midnight. I got this a couple years ago and I just checked her shop and they aren’t for sale any longer. That’s too bad because they are really cute and they came in lots of fun summer colors. You should still check out her shop if you’ve never been she hasn’t released anything new in a while, but there are some really cute things there.

Of course I don’t own any yellow or orange shoes but I always have my trusty Crisis pumps (I’m sure they are named this because they will solve any shoe crisis you find yourself in with their tons of colors). I didn’t however have any trouble finding orangey jewelry. I of course had to wear the OrAch Cameo Gargoyle from Violet Voltaire. This was a freebie from the Starlust opening and is no longer available in this color but she has other great colors. On my left arm I have on the Sprinkles Bracelet in White from ::69::. She just released a bunch of candy/ice cream themed jewelry in really fun colors. My earrings are the Teardrop earrings from Artilleri and these can change to tons and tons of colors just like my shoes! Plus they are big enough to stand out and have some nice metal detailing. On my right arm is the Maya Bracelet from Earthtones in Summer Flame. I think this is one of my top 20 (yes I need 20) fav bracelets because its so detailed and pretty and just seems to match so many things.

I tried black out but I decided that the Espresso from ETD really worked better for me maybe because it is close to my rl hair color. This style is Xaria and I really love the bangs on it. I also decided with my darker hair I would wear a skin I’ve had lurking in my inventory for a while You know how hard it is for me to change skins, but a few months ago I tried out the Fleur Vivant skin line when they were running a sale. At that time I had got one of the Paon makeups, but it is very dark and even though I liked it I couldn’t ever make it fit with an outfit. Today I knew I wanted to wear one because I think the skin looks really nice with my darker hair. I picked up the Blossom 1 with its pretty green eyeshadow and light earthy lipstick. These skins are only 500L a piece which is a super great deal.

I dunno if I’ll wear brown hair all the time now but maybe this has helped me to branch out in the future. I missed you guys and all I can say is that I’ll try to keep putting together outfits as long as you all want to read about them. (Well probably long past then ha)
